Stake

Stake is the largest brand in our comparison and the one with the widest payment menu: 18 cryptocurrencies plus 37 fiat methods, 6,000+ games from 43 providers, a sportsbook, and 24/7 support in 16 languages. It has run since 2017 under Medium Rare N.V. and holds Curaçao licence OGL/2024/1451/0918. Against that, its welcome bonus is the most expensive to clear in the set (40x on deposit plus bonus, with Level 2 KYC required), fees and minimum deposit are not documented, and its UK white-label site was shut down in March 2025 after a Gambling Commission investigation. Stake blocks players from the USA, Germany, Austria and the UK.

Licence and ownership

Stake.com is operated by Medium Rare N.V., registered in Willemstad, Curaçao, under company number 145353. The current licence is OGL/2024/1451/0918, issued by the Curaçao Gaming Authority in the new direct-licence format. Before that, Stake operated as a sublicensee of the Antillephone N.V. master licence 8048/JAZ, a number you will still see on older review pages; it no longer applies. The brand launched in 2017.

The regulatory record contains one documented action. On 12 February 2025 the UK Gambling Commission published a consumer notice stating that Stake.uk.com, a white-label operated through TGP Europe, would cease to be licensed, with a final shutdown by 11 March 2025. The trigger was an investigation into a social-media video featuring an adult actress with the Stake logo. The Commission also wrote to Everton and two other football clubs about unlicensed sponsors. The notice concerned the UK site, not the Curaçao licence, but it is the reason Stake carries a one-point trust deduction in our scoring.

Casino Guru lists a Safety Index of 7.9 out of 10 for Stake with five complaints in its database. Stake blocks the USA (“not available anywhere in the US” per the restricted-countries table), Germany and Austria, and since March 2025 the UK. If you are in one of those countries, the restricted list is not a suggestion: the operator reserves the right to void balances opened from blocked jurisdictions. Bonus terms in detail

The welcome offer is 200% up to $2,000 (or the equivalent in your currency) on the first deposit, available through a promo code. Two conditions set it apart from most of the market. First, it requires Level 2 KYC to claim, so there is no anonymous bonus route at Stake. Second, wagering is 40x on deposit plus bonus for casino play. A $100 deposit with a $200 bonus means ($100 + $200) × 40 = $12,000 in turnover before withdrawal. On a 96% return slot, that turnover has an expected cost of about $480, which exceeds the bonus. Sports bets roll over 1x the deposit.

What is not documented: maximum bet during the bonus, expiry window, game weighting, and the minimum deposit for the offer. The absence of a published max bet does not mean there is none; it is the most common clause used to void bonus winnings across the industry. Ask support in writing before wagering bonus funds. Crypto payments

Stake accepts BTC, ETH, LTC, DOGE, SOL, XRP, BCH, USDT, USDC, DAI, BNB, TRX, LINK, SHIB, MATIC, APE, EOS and CRO. Fiat is accepted through 37 payment methods including Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, SEPA, PIX and UPI. This is the widest documented menu among the mainstream operators and the only one in the top ten that includes DAI, EOS and CRO.

Withdrawal time is quoted at 0-2 days. User reports describe withdrawals as instant, but those are unverified reviews rather than policy. Withdrawal fees are not documented, and neither is a minimum deposit. Those two gaps are unusual for an operator of this size and are why Stake scores 8.5 rather than higher on payments despite the coin list. KYC is described as on request in general, with the specific Level 2 requirement attached to the welcome bonus. The library holds 6,000+ titles from 43 providers. Named studios include NetEnt, Pragmatic Play, Evolution Gaming, Play’n GO, Nolimit City and Hacksaw Gaming. Live casino and a full sportsbook are available. Provably fair status for the originals is not documented in the sources we fetched, which is a notable gap for a brand of this scale; several smaller competitors (Cloudbet, BC.Game, FortuneJack) document fairness verifiers. The game count is from a third-party profile rather than from Stake’s own published figure.

The interface is available in 16 languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, German, Finnish, Korean, French, Indonesian, Polish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Chinese, Hindi and Arabic. Live chat is reported as available 24/7 in all listed languages. No phone line is documented. This is the strongest support profile in the comparison and scores 9.

Before you deposit at Stake

• Country check. The USA, Germany, Austria and the UK are blocked. The list is longer than those four; the restricted-countries table on the operator’s site is the authority, not a review page.
• Bonus or no bonus. Decide before the first deposit. The 200% offer needs a promo code and Level 2 KYC, and once claimed, the $12,000-per-$100 turnover applies to the whole balance.
• Coin choice. With 18 options, the practical question is fee and price exposure. USDT, USDC or DAI hold a stable balance; BTC and ETH do not. Stake does not document who pays the network fee on withdrawal, so assume you do.
• Verification documents. Level 2 KYC for the bonus implies identity documents. If you do not want to upload them, skip the bonus and expect that a large withdrawal may still trigger a request.
• Limits. Stake does not publish withdrawal limits in the sources we fetched. If you expect to move large sums, ask support for the figure before depositing.

Verdict

Stake is the operator to choose if you want the broadest coin list and the deepest support coverage and do not intend to take the welcome bonus. The bonus terms are the worst in our top ten by cost of clearing, and the KYC requirement attached to it removes the main reason many players pick a crypto casino. The UK exit is a documented mark against the group, though not against the Curaçao licence itself.
