Note: this policy is a template prepared for an information website and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It will be updated after legal review.

1. Who is responsible

The controller for personal data processed through blockrollers.com is Patrick Spreitzhofer, Vienna, Austria. Contact details are in the site footer. This site is an independent editorial project; it does not offer gambling services, hold accounts for you or process payments.

2. What this site is and what it is not

BlockRollers publishes comparisons of crypto casino operators. You can read every page without registering or providing any personal data; there is no newsletter, forum or user account system. The only data we process is what your browser sends automatically when you visit, what you send us when you contact us, and the fact that a link was clicked.

3. Hosting and server logs

The site runs on self-hosted WordPress on servers operated by IONOS SE in Germany. When you load a page, the web server records a log entry containing your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, the referring page if your browser sends one, and your browser’s user-agent string. These logs are used to keep the site running, detect abuse and diagnose errors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating the site securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are deleted automatically after a short, fixed period, to be stated here after legal review.

4. Cookies

We keep cookies to the minimum WordPress needs. On a plain visit, no cookie that identifies you is set. WordPress may set a short-lived technical cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies, and if you log in (which ordinary readers do not), it sets cookies to remember that. We do not set advertising cookies and do not allow third parties to set tracking cookies through our pages. Because the cookies we use are strictly necessary, no consent banner is shown; if that changes, a banner and a cookie list will be added.

5. Analytics

We may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand which pages are read and from which countries, in aggregate. If we do, the tool will be configured to work without cookies and without storing full IP addresses, and this section will name it. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or similar tools. The legal basis for aggregate, non-identifying measurement is our legitimate interest in improving the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

6. Affiliate links and click tracking

Links to gambling operators on this site are affiliate links. They point to a redirect on our own domain, in the form /go/operator-name/, which forwards you to the operator’s site. When you follow such a link, our server records the click: the time, the destination operator, the page the link was on, and the same technical data as a normal page request. We use this to see which content is useful, to reconcile commission statements and to detect fraudulent clicks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the site’s commercial model, explained in our affiliate disclosure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Once you arrive at the operator’s site, the operator becomes the controller. It will typically read a tracking parameter from the URL and set its own cookies under its own privacy policy, which we do not control. We do not receive your name, email address or any account details from the operator; commission statements identify referred players only by anonymous reference numbers.

7. Contacting us

If you email us, we process your email address, your name if you give it, and the content of your message in order to reply. Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with your request, then deleted. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and in keeping our content accurate (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

8. Embedded content and external links

Pages on this site link to operator websites, regulators, help organisations and other external sites, each with its own privacy practices. We avoid embedding third-party content (videos, widgets, externally hosted fonts) that would send your data to another party on page load; where an embed is unavoidable, it loads only after you click on it.

9. Transfers outside the EU and EEA

Hosting takes place in Germany and we do not intentionally transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area. If a future tool would do so, this policy will name the recipient and the safeguard relied on.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to data portability where processing is based on consent or contract. Because we hold almost no data that can be linked to a named person, most requests will be answered by confirming that we hold nothing beyond short-lived server logs. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority: for a controller in Austria that is the Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, or the authority in your own country of residence.

11. Children

This site is about gambling and is intended for adults of legal gambling age only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes

This policy will be updated when our tooling changes or after legal review. Material changes, such as the introduction of an analytics tool or a cookie banner, will be noted at the top of the page.
