Metaspins is no longer a Curaçao casino. According to the operator’s CryptoSlate company profile, the brand has held Anjouan licence ALSI-202606048-FI2 since 30 June 2026, valid to 29 June 2027. Until May 2026 the site displayed Curaçao licence OGL/2024/1063/0437. We have updated the Metaspins review and its trust reading to reflect the new regulator, and this post explains what the move means if you compare casinos on terms rather than logos.
What happened
Two things changed at once, and both are documented on the same profile. First, the licence: a Curaçao Gaming Authority OGL number was replaced by an Anjouan Gaming Board number issued on 30 June 2026. Second, the operating entity: CryptoSlate now names a Costa Rican company, 3-102-959384 SRL, as the operator, while thespike.gg and the affiliate listing on StatsDrone still cite Metaspins N.V., a Curaçao company. The entity appears to have changed with the licence, and older sources have not caught up.
Nothing in our data says why the move happened. Metaspins is not the only operator in our comparison to go this way in 2025-2026: Wild.io, Coins.Game and Rakebit also left Curaçao for Anjouan, and our licence guide explains why that pattern matters.
What it means for you
A licence tells you who can act against an operator and what the operator had to show to get the number. Curaçao’s direct licences issued since 2024 can be checked in the authority’s register; Anjouan numbers are published by the operator and can be checked against the Anjouan register too, but the regime is younger and we have no documented enforcement action by the Anjouan Gaming Board in our research. In our methodology an Anjouan licence sets a lower trust ceiling than a Curaçao licence, so Metaspins’ trust reading, shown as 8.8/10 on the review, now sits below where it would with the old OGL. The payments, bonus and games readings are untouched by the switch.
The terms a player sees did not change in our data. The casino welcome offer is still 100% up to 1 BTC, with the casino wagering requirement not stated on any page we fetched, which remains the biggest open question about this bonus. The sportsbook side still offers a 100% no-risk bet up to $25 with a $10 minimum deposit at 3x deposit wagering. Minimum deposit is 5 USDT or 0.0001 BTC. Payout time is given as 24 hours by one source and “instant with no fees” by another, with a 20 USDT or 0.001 BTC minimum withdrawal. Verification before cashing out is mandatory: identity document, live selfie and proof of residence through Sumsub.
Country access did not change either. The United States appears on every restricted list we fetched for Metaspins, so Metaspins does not accept US players; nothing about the new licence alters that. Germany and Austria are absent from three independent lists, which is why the operator stays listed for those markets, although it holds no domestic licence in either country.
What we checked
- Licence number and validity. ALSI-202606048-FI2, issued 30 June 2026, valid to 29 June 2027. We will re-check the operator’s footer before the expiry date, as we do for every Anjouan licence in the set.
- Operating entity. The sources conflict (Costa Rica SRL vs Metaspins N.V.). The review now names both and flags the conflict rather than picking one.
- Trust reading. Re-derived with the Anjouan ceiling. No documented regulatory action against Metaspins exists in our research, so there is no further deduction.
- Bonus terms. Unchanged and still incomplete: casino wagering is not published on the pages we read. Our bonus terms page explains why a missing multiplier is treated as a cost, not a neutral blank.
- Sportsbook margin. The published 8.98% margin is the highest among the operators that publish one, which is unrelated to the licence but worth repeating for anyone who uses the sportsbook.
